Curriculum:
In this course, we will focus on many basics such as composition, proportions, tonal relationships, color and temperature, as well as brushwork, texture and mark making.
This workshop is open to all levels, ideally we will create one painting per day but depending on your level, you can expect to create 1-3 paintings.
In total, this workshop provides 4 hours of demonstrations and 9 hours of guided practice.
Materials:
The material list will be provided to you via email or through WhatsApp after you’ve signed up for the course.
This course will only be taught with oil paint.
Materials are not included in the price of tuition.
Having a set up that is wind resistant and also portable is quite important. Some spots require a little bit of walking, so having a set up that fits into a back pack or that is comfortable to carry is ideal. I usually clip my backpack to my tripod to weight it down if there is wind.
Accommodation and Travel:
Accomodation, travel, and food is not included in the price of tuition. The nearest airports are Amerigo Vespucci Airport (FLR), Pisa Airport (PSA) or Bologna Airport (BLQ) and all are well connected to Florence via shuttle bus or the train. Florence also has quite good public transportation with many bus routes, the tram or rental bikes.
After 8 years of living in Florence, I know the city quite well and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions and provide help to the best of my ability.
Class Size:
The class will be limited to a maximum of 10 students so I can provide everybody with as much personalized guidance as possible.
