Padre's Boat

This was the first boat painting I did in Giovinazzo and after 10 days of painting doors and temples, I had to switch gears and search for  more vibrant colors. This spot was incredible. My friend Simon and I had it all to ourselves except for the occasional fishermen that would pass by with wholesome compliments. One of them said in a heavy Pugliese dialect that this boat belongs to their friend, “Padre”. Later that week I ran into the same guy and he had sent a photo of the painting to their fishermen group chat and they were all very pleased, including Padre.
